Election Day - Professional Development Day
On November 8, 2016, while residents in Wrentham were busy voting on Election Day, Wrentham educators were hard at work continuously growing and learning in a variety of sessions catered to their individual roles.  Some continued to work Writers Workshop, reviewing and discussion the common math assessments, learning more about the Continuum for Literacy Learning, a resource to assist teachers in planning ELA lessons, among other focus areas.  All of the learning that our educators take part in during the professional development days has a direct impact on your children; as we continually refine our craft, we are able to provide optimal learning opportunities for Wrentham students.

Important Upcoming Dates:
* Wednesday, November 16th - Term I ends.
* Wednesday, November 23rd - Report Cards are distributed.
* Wednesday, November 30th - Early Dismissal (12:00 p.m.) for Afternoon Conferences
* Thursday, December 1st - Early Dismissal (12:00 p.m.) for Evening Conferences

Making the Most of Parent -Teacher Conferences...
Before the conference, review student work that comes home, jot down any questions or concerns that you have, and also check in with your child to see if s/he has any questions as well.
At the conference, share the questions or concerns that you or your child have, listen for your child's strengths, and for what skills and concepts they are working on next as they work towards grade level benchmarks.
After the conference, share what you learned with your child.  It is a powerful, supportive message when students see that their parents and teachers are working in concert with one another to help them to continue to learn and grow.  If you have other questions after the conference, do feel free to reach out.  We value ongoing two-way communication between home and school and want to hear from you if you have questions.

WRENTHAM FOOD PANTRY...
Just a reminder that we are collecting items for the Wrentham Food pantry in the lobbies at both schools.  You may drop items off at any time.  Thank you for your support!
