Hello, Roderick Community!

I am so glad that you have visited the Roderick School Blog.  My name is Dr. Vanessa Beauchaine and I have joined the Roderick Team as the new principal. I am enjoying my time here meeting staff members and parents and I have been lucky enough to meet some of the students as well who were attending one of the summer classes.  I want to thank everyone for being patient, understanding, and helpful as I am learning all about the Roderick School--what a special place it is!

 

We have had a busy July so far with a lot of work happening both in and out of the school building to prepare for the opening in September.  The classrooms off of the cafeteria will have all new floors and the floor in the cafeteria itself will also be redone as well.  In addition, the grounds in front of the building have been pruned and mulched, which when coupled with the ongoing repair and painting projects created an inviting entrance!


Meanwhile, in my office, I have been busy building next year's schedule, meeting with staff and parents who have visited and I have been reviewing the plans for the year to ensure a smooth beginning to the 2015-2016 school year.  I hope that you have been making the most of the beautiful summer we are having and I will be sure to post updates each Friday afternoon.
