Summer Activities:
Welcome back! I am excited to start a brand new school year with you! While you have been on summer vacation, a lot has happened at Roderick School! Some students took part in some additional classes as well as the summer camp activities and there were a number of improvements made in our school building as well:
*Four classrooms were carpeted!
*New furniture was added to several classrooms!
*The cafeteria floor was replaced!
*A NEW secure main entrance was installed!
*The Main Office area was renovated, creating a warm, welcoming space to greet students, families, and visitors!
A special THANK YOU goes out to our custodial staff who made sure that the school looks great both inside and out!
Upcoming Events for This Week:
TUESDAY, AUGUST 30th -
*STAFF - Our teachers are involved in meetings to prepare for this year and will also be putting the finishing touches on their learning spaces. Thank you for putting in the extra time and effort, teachers, to create inviting spaces for our students to learn, reflect, collaborate, and create!
*FAMILIES - Welcome Back B.Y.O. Picnic - 11:30-12:00 - SWEATT FIELD
Students and their families are invited to a Bring Your Own Picnic event at Sweatt Field hosted by the PTO! They have also arranged for a Kona Ice Truck to be there. If you are going to the picnic, please park in the parking lots next to Sweatt Field. The back lot will also be open for you during this time.
*FAMILIES - MEET AND GREET - 12:15-12:45 p.m. Families are invited to visit their child(ren)'s class(es) during this time to drop off supplies, say hello to their teacher, and see what will soon be their classroom!
Important Information about MEET AND GREET parking -
To make this event go as smoothly as possible for everyone, kindly consider the following:
