We hope that you all had a wonderful week. Please remember that there is no school on Monday (October 13th) due to Columbus Day and also that there is no school on Tuesday (October 14th) due to a teacher professional development day.
Our sixth grade students have recently returned home from their excellent outdoor environmental education program at Camp Bournedale in Plymouth, MA. Students in grade six left on Monday morning to experience enriching and rewarding educational and social experiences for the week. Although this is truly a trip that you need to experience first hand to fully appreciate, I have included some pictures that highlight many of the things our students are involved with throughout their week away. A very special thanks to the numerous chaperones who stayed in the cabins and our wonderful Grade 6 staff who take time away from their own families to ensure the students have the times of their lives!
Thank you to Miss Yelle's fourth grade class for inviting me in to see their incredible work with fractions. Great job, boys and girls!
Positive Referrals!!!
These students received a Positive Referral this week for demonstrating outstanding behavior. Keep up the good work!
The brackets are set and the players are ready! Mrs. Poirier's and Mrs. Thornton's math
classes began facing off for their Fraction Satisfaction tournament. Students had a great time practicing their
strategies for making equivalent fractions, simplifying fractions and comparing
and ordering fractions.
