Congratulations to Dr. Marsden for his wonderful performance in Friday night's Dancing with the Wrentham Stars!
On Thursday, students in Mrs. O'Connell's fifth grade class worked collaboratively to build their own roller coasters. Students were responsible for designing a roller coaster using their knowledge of kinetic and potential energy. I think we have may have some of Disney's next engineers.
WPS students collaborated
on the first edition of a new school newspaper, The Wildcat Chronicle. The
publication features articles written by Mrs. Tracy's IAP students and
offers a variety of articles on current events, opinion pieces, sports and
entertainment, as well as a "Thinking Page" that offers riddles and
puzzles. Some of the newspaper's contributors are pictured below with Mrs. Tracy.
With the national debt at an all-time high, members of Mr. Cederbaum's and Mrs. Poirier's classrooms were forced to think outside the box and help the economy. Students were challenged with the task of selling some of the nation's most prominent monuments and landmarks. Students worked together to research the landmark's history, location, and important features. After collecting all of their information, groups worked to create "For Sale" advertisements and presentations to entice buyers from across the world.
