Unfortunately we had to cancel Field Day today due to the inclement weather. We are planning on having Field Day on Monday, June 10th (weather permitting).
Grade Five students explored the adaptations that make raptors the most efficient winged predators in the world through a educational program presented by Windows on Wildlife. These adaptations came to "life" through video, hands on explorations of fossils, and REAL birds of prey!

Thank you to all of our families who donated items for our Term 4 Spirit Day Food Drive. There was a plethora of food donated during the three day collection. Thank you to our PTO for assisting in this wonderful cause.
Dr. Gilson, Principal of the KP Middle School and three of our former students visited our school this week as another transition step for our sixth graders. Our students had the opportunity to hear about student life at the middle school and ask questions that they had on their minds. It was encouraged at the meeting for students to make time during the summer months to schedule a tour of the middle school.
Congratulations to this week's Positive Referral recipients. These students were recognized for going out of their way to be inclusive, kind, and helpful. We are very proud of these students!
As a reminder, the Camp Bournedale informational meeting for fifth grade parents was rescheduled to Wednesday, June 12th at 5:30 PM in the Roderick School library.
Thank you to everyone who supported the annual S.W.I.S.H. (Students With Illness Score Help) basketball game this past Wednesday. The staff was ready and focused this year and pulled out a victory. Way to go, Teachers! Special thanks to event organizer, Mrs. Moon. Additionally, all of us at the Wrentham Public Schools would like to thank Chief Anderson and members of the Wrentham Police Department for participating in the game.
This week students in Miss Phipps’s 5th Grade class took on the role of historians as they examined primary source documents
from the colonial era. Primary sources are documents (such as letters, diaries,
speeches, or legal documents) or physical objects (such as artwork, houses, or
artifacts) that are from or were present during a particular time period or
experience. Primary sources offer historians an inside view of a
particular event. During their study, our student historians were focused in on
documents that would help them understand how geography shaped the lives of the
colonists in the New England, the Mid-Atlantic, and Southern English Colonies.
