Please note that we do have school on Tuesday, January 21st. In years past, we have had a Professional Day the day after Martin Luther King, Jr. day. However, because we had two professional days prior to the children arriving at school, educators will not have a professional day on January 21st.
The sixth grade ski club started yesterday afternoon. 57 Grade 6
students boarded two buses and headed off to Wachusett Mountain in
Princeton, MA. The children had a
great time.
Congratulations to this week's Positive Referrals. These students were recognized for being extremely thoughtful, supportive, and diligent. We are very proud of you! Keep up the great work!

The Wrentham School Committee have requested the School Council's presence at that January 14th School Committee meeting to present the updated 2013-2016 School Improvement Plan. The meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. in the Roderick Library. This meeting will be in lieu of our originally scheduled School Council meeting on the 14th at 3:00 p.m.

This week, we began our fourth year of school-wide
bullying and diversity awareness lessons, which were developed following the
implementation of the 2010 Massachusetts Bullying Law. Ms. D. Paparo (school
adjustment counselor) and Ms. Kost (school psychologist) addressed all of our sixth grade classrooms. In the upcoming weeks these two individuals will visit grades four and five. Please be on the look out for a letter that specifies the topics discussed in the lessons.
We had our Final Competition for the 2014 Geo Bee this afternoon. All
ten contestants did a remarkable job! Congratulations to all of you
for making the final round.
