Thank You Mrs. Rouse!
At Tuesday night's School Committee meeting, School Committee member Michelle Rouse announced her resignation. Mrs. Rouse has served on the Wrentham Elementary Schools School Committee for the past 8 years. Mrs. Rouse always placed the students at the center of every decision she made. She was a true champion and supporter of high-level academics and educating the whole child at the Wrentham Public Schools.
The School Committee is currently looking for someone to fill Mrs. Rouse's seat. Interested individuals may send that letter to the Superintendent of Schools office at 120 Taunton Street. Those who apply will be asked to attend a meeting with the School Committee on Tuesday, January 21st at 6:00 pm at the Town Hall followed by a meeting with the Board of Selectmen and School Committee that same evening. If you have any questions, please contact Chris Martes, Interim Superintendent of Schools, at 508-3845439.
Mrs. Moon's students finished their project of creating the 2013-2014 KP Boys' Varsity Basketball program. The students worked very hard on these programs and it really shows. Awesome job!
Congratulations to the members of our Advanced Band. They performed their winter concert on Wednesday night and were fantastic! Miss Salazar and the members of the Advanced Band put on an awesome show!
Congratulations to this week's Positive Referrals. We are very proud of these students. Thank you for all of your hard work and thanks for making our school such a great place!
A Night of the Arts was held this past Wednesday at the Roderick School. Artwork from students in Grades 4 - 6 was displayed. In addition, exemplary art was on display for all to see. Thank you to all of the students and Mrs. Lovely for creating such a wonderful environment!

Term 2 Spirit Day
For our Term 2 Spirit Day, The Wrentham Public Schools will be collecting new jackets, hats, or gloves/mittens. The Student Council is accepting donations up until Friday, January 24th. In addition, students are encouraged to wear a mustache on Friday, January 24th.
Back
in November the students in Mrs. Moon's class created new balloon ideas for the Macy’s Thanksgiving
Day Parade. Students were required to write a descriptive paragraph about
their design, and then had to draw a picture of their creation. Mrs. Moon was so
impressed with their new ideas that she sent them to Macy’s. Just this week, Macy's sent a return letter to Mrs. Moon's class. The letter also came with
goodies for all of the students.
As a reminder, there will be no school on Monday, January 20th. However, there is school on Tuesday, January 21st.
Thank you for reading this week's blog. Enjoy the long weekend!
Sincerely,
Stephen S. Grenham, Principal
