October 25, 2013

Greetings Roderick Families:

It was another busy week here at the Roderick School.  Please take a few minutes to read about the happenings at the school.

Last April the students at Roderick School entered poems in a contest sponsored by the National Schools Project. There were 311 Roderick students whose poems were chosen for publication by The Young American Poetry Digest. This contest is designed to share our youth's talents with others and to provide a national publishing opportunity for young poets. The poems were selected by a panel of educators who evaluated the overall quality of the poem based on student's age and grade level.

As one of the schools with the highest number of poems published, Roderick School was recently presented with a $100.00 check.

Congratulations to this week's Positive Referral's These students were recognized for being helpful, supportive, and considerate.  Thank you for making our school a better place!  We are proud of you!

It was another great Red Sox School Spirit Day on Wednesday!
